How do Early Pregnancy Test Strips Work?

Using the Early Pregnancy Test Strips:

1. For best results, use the Early Pregnancy Test in the morning, with your first urination of the day.
2. Urinate into a clean cup.
3. Remove the Early Pregnancy Test from its foil wrapper.
4. Hold the test strip vertically and dip into the urine specimen, making sure you do not immerse past the maximum line on the test strip.
5. Remove the Early Pregnancy Test Strip from the specimen after you notice the red dye moving through the Result Window.
6. Read the results in 5 minutes.

Reading the Test Results:

1. You will notice a purple band towards the top of the test where you hold the test. This is the Control Line. This line will always appear. If this line is absent, then the test is invalid.
2. If a second purple band appears near the bottom of the test, the test is positive and you are pregnant. If this line is absent then the test is negative and you are not pregnant. A line, no matter how faint indicates a positive result.
3. If pregnancy is still suspected and the test is negative, wait a few days and test again, using the first urination of the day. Testing too early can give you a false negative and pregnancy is still possible.
